The unicorn was constructed for a Daz Tv commercial and was sculpted from polystyrene on a steel armeture and then finished with metalized emulsion paint.
Initial shaping
Getting the unicorns stance, balance and size correct in the intial shaping.

Refined Shaping
Steve cuts away at the polystyrene and begins the process of sculpting a more refined shape.
Smoothing
Her coat gets a good brushing!
Detailed shaping
Steve gives the unicorn a final working to define tail, mane and muscle tone.
Sanding
Sanding in the sunshine and preparing the surface to be coated in metalized emulsion.
Completed unicorn
The metalized coat has been applied and she is ready for her close-up.
